It is the heart of the onboard electrical system: it converts, isolates, protects and communicates with all the systems of the boat delivering clean, stable and safe power regardless of the quality and the standard of the shore supply.
The converter automatically identifies the voltage and frequency of the dock supply —
50 Hz or 60 Hz, from 190 V to 520 V — adapting with no manual configuration
to any port in the world.
The built-in isolation transformer galvanically separates the onboard system
from the shore supply, protecting the hull and the equipment from leakage and electrolytic corrosion.
It also permanently solves the problem of dockside residual current devices tripping
— one of the most frequent causes of disruption at the berth.
Our converters use SiC (Silicon Carbide) modules, a latest-generation semiconductor technology that delivers higher efficiency and lower operating temperatures than traditional systems. In practice, the unit is more compact, quieter and has a significantly longer service life.
The components are deliberately oversized, so as to absorb motor starting current peaks without stress and to handle sustained overloads. Cooling is monitored continuously: the integrated management system steps in before critical temperatures are reached, protecting the components and maximizing the service life of the unit.
The modular design allows the main components to be removed and refitted quickly, simplifying installation and maintenance even in confined spaces. Each module is independently accessible and replaceable, cutting intervention times and minimizing downtime.
The converter can be integrated with the onboard monitoring system to transmit shore and output electrical parameters in real time. Transfer to and from the onboard generators is seamless, with no interruption of supply. The system comes with a control panel with a clear, intuitive interface.
Units can be connected in parallel to increase the power available on board or to create a redundant system configuration. Should a single unit fail, the remaining ones keep the supply running — an essential requirement for anyone who cannot afford an interruption to the onboard supply.
