Request informationThe courtesy outlet converter is installed on board to power sockets and equipment that require a different electrical standard from the main system. It makes European sockets available on yachts with an American system — and American sockets on yachts with a European system — giving guests full compatibility with their own devices, quietly, continuously and with no need for adapters.
The converter draws power from the onboard system and generates a separate circuit at the required standard: 230 V / 50 Hz on an American yacht, 120 V / 60 Hz on a European one. The courtesy outlets in the cabins and in the common areas deliver the correct voltage and frequency for any device guests bring on board, and also for any onboard appliance whose electrical standard is not compatible with that of the main system.
The output is a pure sine wave. This is essential for safely powering sensitive equipment such as computers, USB-C chargers or high-fidelity audio — loads that can degrade or fail when supplied with a distorted waveform. No harmonic distortion, no interference.
The converter is designed for continuous loads: it delivers stable, constant power for the whole duration of a passage or of a stay at the dock, with no duty-cycle limits. It can run fully automatically — switching on and managing itself with no intervention at all — or be controlled manually by the operator, depending on the requirements on board. Operation is quiet and unobtrusive in the living spaces of the vessel.
The output is galvanically isolated from the onboard system: leakage to earth is kept to a minimum, protecting both the guests’ devices and the navigation electronics from mutual interference.
The range covers a wide span of power ratings and configurations — single-phase and three-phase — to suit the real needs of every vessel: from a small yacht with a handful of courtesy outlets to a superyacht with several areas to be served independently. Each unit is sized on the actual load and on the space available on board, with native integration into the existing system.
